Description
This massive but not heavy table, fashioned in high quality oak, is nicely elegant.
Its uprights turned into balusters and adorned with imposing ringed spheres, are connected at the bottom by a rectangular spacer decorated with finely molded rosewood reserves.
Under the Italian extension top rests a wide belt which houses a drawer. The decoration of the belt is composed of rosewood tables surrounded by delicate moldings as well as tori and glyphs in the upper parts. The ball feet recall the designs of the Flemish ornamentalist Hans Vredeman de Vries and his son and collaborator Paul.
