Description
Made in a beautiful walnut, this oval table has four folding flaps. It rests on four elegant ringed columns, connected by an H spacer placed on five feet in flattened balls.
The board is formed of a panel surrounded by an assembled frame with miter cut. On each side is fixed a flap in an arc, articulated by hinges. On the reverse, an ingenious sliding system keeps the flaps open, while four cleats hold them folded.
This table with folding shutters is a fine example of furniture that enriched the homes of great lords. Thanks to this system of flaps, this rectangular table becomes a beautiful oval table. This makes it an element of furniture as useful as decorative. Nice example of a table at once functional and of a great sobriety.
