Description

This beautiful model of ceremonial armchair in carved walnut is built according to a classic pattern of work from the Iberian Peninsula. It has wide, flat and slightly curved armrests.The back and seat of this armchair are upholstered in embroidered silk velvet, attached with brass nails alternately patterned with flowers and fleurons.The rear uprights end at the top with a stylized acanthus leaf.The square section legs are joined by low crossbars on the sides and rear; one higher and carved with a rosette and geometric patterns on the front. The front feet are crenellated.

The very beautiful silk velvet covers the seat as well as the back of the armchair, is patterned with plants and arabesques, thus bringing a luxuriant and shimmering touch to this Spanish ceremonial armchair.
