Description

If the folding seat is known through iconography and inventories since before the 15th century its from Louis XIII reign onwards that it replaces stools and stepladders.

With no armrests nor back this turned wood folding stool is enriched with olive moldings and reduced to the most simple frame.

It is upholstered with a wool and silk Hungarian point embroidery on the seat.
